About the Event

Join the Lehigh community for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Newark AirTrain Replacement Program, one of the region’s largest transportation infrastructure projects currently under construction.

With an overall program value of approximately $2 billion, the project is replacing the existing 30-year-old AirTrain system at Newark Liberty International Airport with a modern, automated people mover designed to improve reliability, passenger capacity, accessibility, and the overall passenger experience.

During the tour, attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • See an active, large-scale transportation infrastructure project up close.
  • Learn about design-build project delivery and the complexities of delivering a major project within a busy international airport.
  • Observe ongoing construction, including foundation work and the early stages of structural and civil construction.
  • Gain insight into how major transportation projects are planned, designed, and delivered.

This unique experience offers a firsthand look at the engineering, construction, and project management behind a transformative infrastructure project in the region.

Additional details regarding the meeting location, parking, required PPE, and attendance limits will be provided to registered attendees.
