About the Event

Mountain Talk: Pulling Back the Curtain on Art Collections

The art world can feel like an exclusive and mysterious realm, reserved for only the ultra-wealthy, but it doesn't have to be. In this presentation, two art advisors pull back the curtain on how the industry actually works — walking attendees through the galleries, auction houses, and art fairs that make up this dynamic marketplace. Drawing on their hands-on experience guiding clients through every stage of the process, they offer a step-by-step look at how advisors help buyers and sellers navigate art transactions with confidence and clarity.

Whether you're curious about the value of art and decorative objects already in your home, looking to purchase pieces, or facing the complex task of selling an entire estate's collection, this discussion offers practical insight for every situation.

Edie Meyer '91 and Sarah Greenberg Morse will explain how art advisors help their clients manage and grow their collections. They will share best practices, demystify industry conventions, and answer the questions that often go unasked — making the world of art and collectibles more approachable and accessible for everyone.
