2026 Bed Races: Lehigh

About the Event

It’s that time of year — get your team together for Bed Races 2026!

Every year during Rivalry Week, we race beds on Packer Avenue to ignite the Lehigh spirit leading up to The Rivalry — Lehigh vs. Lafayette — college’s most played rivalry.

Build a team of five people to race a bed down Packer Avenue. Prizes will be awarded to the top team and costume contest winners!

Cost: $25.00 per team ($5 per person)

All five (5) team members must be registered at the same time in order to qualify to race.

Team Captain:

Register your entire team of five (5) at one time; team captain will be considered the primary registrant.
Register the other members of the team as "guests." Make sure to provide the full first and last name of each team member.
Submit payment of $25.00 to secure your team's spot.
Note: Incomplete teams (those with less than 5 people) will be removed from the registration list — make sure to register your complete team.

Please Note:

A staff member will reach out to you for the following: Team name and team song. Be creative and authentic! But make sure they both reflect Lehigh University’s Principles of Our Equitable Community. Teams with names or songs that use language referencing drugs, alcohol, violence, or suggestive language may be asked to provide an alternative name or song.
After we reach capacity, teams can continue to register via the waitlist until registration closes at midnight on Sunday, November 8.
All participants will receive a special edition Lehigh bandana!
All Bed Races participants are required to attend the Bed Races Review Meeting on Monday, November 16, 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in Packard 101.
Registered teams should plan to check-in to the event between 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on November 18, so come early!
